The olives from which this excellent product is made are harvested in olive groves in the hinterland of the provinces of Agrigento and Trapani. The care of these trees follows age-old traditions passed down from their ancestors to today's farmers.

A delicious, healthy oil that will surprise you with its versatility. The predominant bitter and spicy notes of the Cerasuola are lively and present, yet always balanced with the milder aromas of the Nocellara and Biancolilla.

Wonderful with raw and cooked vegetables, grilled fish and meat, and fresh cheese.

It is difficult to trace the true origin of the Ciaccio family and their activities in the agricultural sector. What is certain is that in 1918, after returning from the First World War, great-grandfather Vincenzo purchased a plot of land in the Sovareto area and began planting new olive trees, continuing an already existing, centuries-old olive grove. Even before this time, great-grandfather Paolo had bought land in the San Giorgio area, thus beginning agricultural activity. In the 1930s, the two families were finally united by the marriage of grandmother Antonietta and grandfather Antonino, and the family farming business was in full swing during these years, expanding to several hectares of land in the Sciacca area, particularly in the districts of San Giorgio, Verdura, Ferraro, and Galenzo Aquilea, as well as in the Sovareto area. The land was mainly cultivated with olive groves and vineyards, but also with cotton and wheat, and the work was distributed among all family members, from working in the fields to processing and selling the produce of the land.

Nowadays, the agricultural and productive activities of many family members are limited to the care of the olive groves, to avoid their abandonment (a phenomenon that is unfortunately widespread in the area). There is no shortage of problems. Lack of rain, difficulties in finding skilled workers for pruning, land and plant care, and olive harvesting, low interest of new generations in agricultural activities, and finally, the aging and progressive disappearance of the people in the family who possessed the knowledge of this wonderful activity that combines contact with nature with the production of an exceptional food (of course, despite hard work to maintain it!).

The desire to preserve everything that our parents, grandparents, and uncles created and maintained for over a century motivated us to embark on this adventure: resuming an activity related to oil production. We hope to carry all this passion within us for a long time and share it with those who wish to support our company.
